Rathergate: bloggers' inability to move on
If you are very bored at work and like to write Unabomber letters like I do (I did a really good one to Chris Matthews about election night coverage and his shitty comments about how an 18 year old's vote shouldn't count the same as a 75 year old's- based on how long they have been reading and studying the news for. I love my grandma but you think she fully grasps the issues? Yes, says Mr. Matthews because she has been reading newspapers for 60 years. She has been "studying the issues" for 60 years while an 18 year old has only been reading the newspaper for one year at best. That's a great argument Mr. Matthews except that my studious grandmother STILL thinks Matt Lauer is a traitor for saying DOT.COM like all the other anchors on the news- she thinks "dot.com" is some chinese word that everyone understands but her. Say it fast and that will make more sense to you. I don't know what she makes of the "www", I am afraid to ask...But I digress...) please go to this website and tell these people how much they suck. They are still stuck on "memogate/Rathergate" and even today posted punishments they would like to see CBS dole out. Get over it. Memogate (which never would have lasted so long if not for the need of 24 hour news channels to fill dead air) VS. Swift Boat Veterans for Bullshit? I'd like to thank my ex-wives amanda and lisa for making me comment this truely wonderful site.
Any way I will start with the silly subject of politics. I'd first like to say, so that you can have a horrible opinion of one such as me, that i did not vote. In fact, I have never voted. I think laziness is the main cause of this fault, but a small part might be my hatred for politicians. But after this election I have made my decision to go out in four years and vote on the best way to pick a president, on morals. I live in the all important, trash hole, battleground state of ohio, and I say to all you flower power, flag burning Kerry lovers "We elected the most moral of the two canidates." How do I come to this conclusion, well lets just say i know how these ohioans think.
I know this man, The Honorable Dick, who served in the ohio senate for 19 years, so he has obviously earned the title honorable. Now, republicans are loved in ohio, and my father(ooops...did i say that out loud) is a very respected man throughout ohio. The Honorable Dick(or tHD) cannot even get a speeding ticket when pulled over doing a 120mph, I've seen it. Now here is an honorable man. HE has cheated on all three of his wives. Not just once or twice, but basically every weekend. Thats not so bad you say, how about when he cheated on his wife with the pastors daughter, and when my mom(damn I said it out loud again)went to the pastor to ask what to do the pastor kicked my mom out of the church. Now if that does not show the morality we here in ohio believe, in I don't know what does. This 19 year senate veteran also was brought up on chages of some kind of fraud in the senate, but luckily he had a lobbyist friend who was willing to take the blame and went to jail for ten yrs for him. Now does Kerry have friends like that, I think not. I could go on forever about what kind of a moral and upstanding man we here in ohio like in office but tHD is trying to get his book publish(the biggest load of bullshit is in this book, and it just tries to kiss his friends asses and show he really was a good man)and you can go out and waste your money for his benefit, mine, if he dies. Don't get me wrong, I love my father, always will, but maybe thats whats so wrong with this country is that we want strong families so I am taught to love this piece of shit for my whole life no matter what he does.
Now you Bush lovers are saying there is no direct tie between tHD and the Prez. Well, tHD worked for bush, and the President too.(If you do not get it see the women in the above paragragh) He was an advisor to Bush sr. and helped him on the campaign trail. Listen folks, the truth is my dad fucked a cow when he was growing up on his parents farm, the fact that he came to be a senator in our government baffles me. I will try not to be such a pessimist but I do not always hold our system in high regard. I'd like to post more of my thoughts but then you would have enough to put people in jail so.......
